If water is flowing uncontrollably, act first to reduce damage.
If you can safely reach the irrigation shutoff or backflow assembly, turn the irrigation water supply off before waiting for service.
Examples of irrigation problems that may need faster review
Emergency availability depends on location, workload, access, parts availability, and the nature of the failure.
Active mainline break
Continuous water flow from a pressurized irrigation mainline or supply connection.
Valve stuck open
A zone continues watering and will not shut down through the controller.
Flooding or major water loss
Water is accumulating rapidly, entering structures, eroding soil, or creating a substantial waste condition.
Broken pressurized pipe
A pipe remains under pressure and releases water continuously while the irrigation supply is on.
System will not shut down
Controller, wiring, valve, or hydraulic conditions cause unwanted continuous irrigation.
Commercial water-loss event
A failure is creating significant water loss, operational impact, pedestrian concerns, or property risk.
